Never thought I would see a day when the 290s would be a welcomed blessing, but since I started this challenge at my highest weight ever, 311.8, I'm overjoyed----all it took was a perspective shift, I suppose.  Never take whatever is going on right now for granted... The things I have been practicing have seemed to stick and even seep over into how i engage my family and what I serve them.  I am so excited--yesterday, when my son (12) was making lunches I opted for cabbage leaves instead of bread to go with lean roasted turkey, cucumbers, tomatoes and homemade raw hummus.  it was a victory that i'm sure contributed to my long term goal of doing the different thing.  Later on, I made green smoothies with pumpkin, collards, and strawberry/kiwi supergreens.  The kids loved it.  I was so proud to be sharing my healthy choices with my family with such a great reception.... Heres to health and longevity!!!
