"One day, someone showed me a glass of water that was half full. And he said, "Is it half full or half empty?" So, I drank the water. No more problem." ~ Alexander Jodorowsky. It was common knowledge in the our college marching band the essential need to remain hydrated during parades and whilst imbiding beverages in celebration of our youth. As I embark on this adventure, I recall the motto of our group, "Hydrate or Die!" So, I will let this serve as reminder during this summer heat that I am thirsty, not hungry and drink water. Keeping water in the front of the fridge, in the car, even a refillable bottle in the purse to go. I have been staying hydrated and fighting off the summer heat headaches. So, here it is, a top 5 list of reasons to drink more water:
1. Water helps suppress appetite.
2. Water aides digestion...beat the bloat and gain energy.
3. Drinking water helps keep the body from retaining water.
4. Drinking water helps tell your body if you are hungry or thirsty.
5. Drinking water flushes toxins from the body.
All great reasons to drink up! Enjoy the summer, stay cool, and hydrate or die!
