Ok gents you will have little desire for this info.
Ladies as I posted before I had gained 4.4 lbs overnight despite eating healthy and clean 85% of the time and working out everyday. It didn't make much sense why this would occur, my fear was I had hit a spot where I needed to change up my diet, eat more or less. But I was told it was water retention from that time of the month. I had never paid attention to bloating during that time of the month and never really "felt" heavier. So I couldn't believe it.
I decided to do a study so I'd know where this weight came from. My goals were:
1) Not change my diet - continue eating clean and healthy.
2) Continue my workouts - PIYO everyday and a few weight sessions.
3) Not weigh myself all week, till my visitor has left the building. Which would be today (Wed)
4) Try not to give into cravings or tiredness.
I did pretty well with all these. The whole week I only had 8 of the Italian waffle cookies (the ones you sprinkle powder sugar on - I didn't not do this though). I also had 3 Milano Mint cookies. These 2 diversions from my eating plan were the only things I caved into. So not anything I felt would skew the study.
Only other thing was we did go out to dinner to an italian restaurant, and though I had stuck to my usual plan and ordered Chicken with peppers, & Asparagus in EVOO I thought I was good. Except the waiter had heard that others in my party wanted to tasted others plates he was nice enough that when he brought the meals to the table he split each dish and gave a bit to everyone. So I ended up with less of my chicken and veggies and pastas - lots of it which was definietly not part of the plan! Plus it was hard to gauge what the caloric intake of that was not know what a serving would be.
Worked out everyday, and also did Tony Horton's new 22 Minute Hard Core Cardio workout. And I didn't go crazy on Superbowl. We did have pizza but one we made from frozen and LOADED with veggies.
Now for the results:
Well today I got on the scale (actually I got on yesterday too because my visitor came and went like in 3 1/2 days.) The 4.4 was now gone, and I lost an additional .6lbs.
I was told it may be a few more days before its all gone. But moral of the story is stick with it, if your doing everything right, really doing it right. Write it down, track it, be honest, and keep your mind right.
It will come down. TRY as hard as possible to avoid the cravings or giving into fatigue. And for some weighing yourself should be avoided but others may want to know how far into their week/period the water weight comes on and goes down.
Thats its. I'm relieved. But yet now I'm really fighting wanting some junk because I did stay controlled and then you add all this Fat Tuesday stuff around.
Have a great Day - hope this helps someone.
