Penny - I love your post on so many levels! First - we can do what we think we can do and we can't do what we believe we can't - so your use of the term "limiting beliefs" totally resonates with me. I was overweight for years and thought I couldn't ever get back down to a lower weight because I was too old, too limited by arthritis, too busy, blah blah blah. Well at 57 (Yes honestly I was 57 also!) I decided I WOULD lose weight and get myself fit and healthy again. I lost 60+ (give or take - I fluctuate here and there a bit) and kept it off. So #2 is YES you can do it and what a good detective you are! Are you using myfitnesspal, com? I love that tool! #3- so agree preparing food at home more frequently and planning is key and lastly I applaud you for rejoicing in your PROGRESS (I am always harping on this) and losing 4.8 pounds vs. getting down on yourself for not "winning" the bet. To me it is all about developing healthy habits for sustainable weight loss and any PROGRESS toward that goal is a good one. Welcome to GET RESULTS 6!
