Weekly Token Prize Round-Up, 5/7/15

This week 30 token prizes were awarded across 16 games.  Games with a lot of players (~1000 players or more) tend to get multiple weekly prizes awarded, but this week some of the smaller games got multiple prizes as well.  This is what was awarded:

2 - "Workout outfit" = $75 Athleta or UnderArmour

2 - $75 Whole Foods

1 - Jillian Michael's Body Revolution

3 - $75 Amazon

1 - FitBit Flex

1 - Insanity DVD

1 - Digital Food Scale

1 - Withings Wireless Scale

1 - Jawbone UP24

1 - P90X DVD

1 - Mandoline Slicer

2 - Bulu Box 1-yr subscription

1 - Crock Pot

10 - Cuisinart CSB-79 Smart Stick Immersion Blender

1 - Low-fat Multi Cooker

1 - NutriBullet

The most common prizes are the $75 Athleta/UnderArmour card and $75 Amazon card, followed closely by Polar HRM, $75 Zappos and $75 Whole Foods.  The Cuisinart Smart Sticks continues to be another very popular new prize, and next week is likely to overtake some of top prizes.

As always, if you won a prize, you will have an e-mail from DietBet asking you to verify your address so they can send you the prize.  Sometimes this goes to your spam folder.  If you have the app on your phone, you might get a notification there as well.  If it's a store credit, it usually comes via e-mail and not long after you reply.  If it's physical, it usually arrives in about a week (often from Amazon).  If you win something that isn't appropriate (because you don't live near a Whole Foods or you already have a better FitBit) you can usually ask them for a swap.

And a final reminder - if you paid for the tokens, make sure to weigh in once a week!  It doesn't matter if you gain weight or lose weight, just weigh in.  It also doesn't matter what day you actually weigh-in.  They remind you on Weds, but if another day is more convenient for you to remember, make a habit to do it then.  If you want to know how much competition you have in a game, they now show how many people have entered a specific drawing - look at the right-hand column on the webpage version of the game page and the section below "Your Progress" shows token prize information.  The tokens don't transfer to other games and if you use more than one in a week, you still only get one entry into the drawing, so don't waste them!  Also, if you have won a prize, you are still eligible to win again, so keep playing!

(Note: I write posts about the stats for all the games that are running, not just the ones I'm playing in, but my posts only appear in the feeds for my games.  If you are in other games, feel free to post my blog there so people can see how they are doing.  I'm currently in the Dec 2 and Feb 18 games.  If you add me as a friend, you will get a notification about all the stats posts I make.  You can also join the Transformers Data Nerds group: https://www.dietbetter.com/community/groups/7-transformers-data-nerds and our Facebook group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/DietBet.March/ ).

How many people on average use the tokens?

amybang

There's no way to know, those stats aren't made public. No one knows how many players in a game actually buy tokens. However, now it is possible to find out how many people have done a token weigh-in each week in your games (but maybe only if you bought tokens). There's a new section in the sidebar on the webpage that shows you if you weighed in and it will also show you how many tokens were used in your game.
