Hello friends and whoever reads this! So... here's why I'm here. I won my first dietbet last year, but gained all of the weight back (10 pounds). I didn't make ANY lifestyle changes so I'm not surprised. After being told my sugar is dangerously high - as in... if I don't get it under control I may become a full-fledged diabetic - I've now made those lifestyle changes. Eating better, exercising more, etc. It's been about two months. I'm hoping this dietbet will not only get me back down to my previous weight, but help control my blood sugar.
For anybody with high blood sugar or diabetes that runs in the family, exercise and weight loss cuts your risk of developing it. Yes, you might still get it later in life, but the longer you can prevent it from happening... the longer you will avoid complications! :)
Last time I had to drag my butt around and did only the BARE minimum to make 4%. This time I'm going to HIT it. No more half-assing my Jillian Michael's dvd's. No more complaining about my feet hurting and my muscles hurting and uses that as an excuse to skip a day.
IM GONNA HIT IT. Yo.
