I've come to the conclusion that the only way that I can stay cool in my NYC apartment without A/C is to drink a buttload of water. This turns into me running to the bathroom every 10 minutes. However, hydration's great, right?! I'm ready for this DietBet to go ahead and start. I've been going to Pure Barre all week, and I'm planning on going tomorrow and then yoga afterwards.
I also need to start training for the Brooklyn Rock n' Roll half marathon, which is coming up in October. It's been so hot during the day, that I'm hestiant to run due to heat stroke (I'm easily suspectible, which is why I chose a race that takes place in the Fall). Running in the evening is alright, but sometimes dangerous-- I don't always trust running the big loop in the park when it's dark.
To help keep me motivated, I bought some new dri-fit tops and shorts from Old Navy. They were having a huge sale, and I was able to get 9 items for $55. Since I don't have laundry in my apartment, it's better to just have more work out clothes, then run to the laundry mat every couple of days. I also went ahead and took all of my measurements for this DietBet. I'm hoping to not only drop pounds, but inches, since I'm doing so much additional working out.
