I started DietBet yesterday. I also started tracking my food with MyFitnessPal. I have done MFP before but I never stuck with it for more than a few days. Now with some cash on the line, I think I will do better.
Yesterday, I kept to my calorie goal, but I felt hungry before bed. I couldn't believe how obsessed I felt about food. I am by no means anywhere near starving but it was like an angry monster took over my mind and kept trying to persuade me to eat and filled my head with tasty images of food. I kept reminding myself that I have 8 pounds to go to win this challenge. It was like instead of counting sheep to fall asleep, I counted pounds over and over again. I drank some water and eventually I fell asleep.
Thankfully I didn't listen to that darned monster. This morning I feel fine, not starved. I'll consider that as a small victory.
