I have a class of 9 year old esl students that are always offering me candy and sweets. Today one of my students offered me some candy and I said "No, thanks." But, she wouldn't take no for answer because it is considered rude to not accept something given to you in Korea. So, I told her I was on a diet and the whole class went crazy lol. Then one of my students came up to me and said, "No worries. Diet no. It's ok." It was so cute because he was so serious about me not dieting. I immediately cracked up and later he said, "Diet fighting!" This translate to "You can do it!" So it was a good day. Just thought I'd share this.
