First, OKCupid is the jokiest of all on-line jokes. Second, you are brave for trying it out.Third, don't feel bad for not finding love in two dates. For real. Fourth, you don't owe anyone ANYTHING. If you didn't feel it, don't worry about how to tell him without hurting his feelings. No matter how nicely and graciously you tell him, his feelings will be hurt. But he'll get over it and be fine. Just let him know you didn't feel it, but it was totes funsies hanging out. Fifth, Yay! No fitting clothes is the most obnoxious great thing in life! My skinny-day jeans are now irritatingly too big. Baggy in the legs and butt, and the waist is big enough that I hike them up all day but they don't fall off my hips, so I can't justify new pants. First world problems, indeed. Whatever-- embrace your first-world life. And let me stress that you are SO BRAVE for trying the on-line dating thing. Dating sucks. It just sucks. In my experience, it sucks a little less if you go on a date quickly rather than building up the expectations for days or weeks of prolonged texting and messaging and phone calls. But it pretty much all sucks. Dating is just the worst. I'll do it again someday, but for now I get to hide behind being a young kid's mom (instead of admitting the self-conscious reasons). Put a gold star on your achievement chart.
