I love losing weight without the gym, that tells me that my diet is strong. My personal belief is that if you have to work out all the time to lose weight, you'll always have to work out. I'd rather have a good diet and add the gym as a benefit to getting stronger and toned. I am so proud of you for "going there" with your friend, it sounds like it was a good conversation, even if you didn't totally agree on your approaches to dating. Oh, I've been eyeballing my collar bones at the gym.... what is it with those that is so awesome?

Good point about how being able to lose outside of the gym is an indicator that you've got the food component right. Believe me, I'm not disappointed that I still dropped weight without hitting the gym! It just surprised me. I guess I was still active enough through obsessively getting in my steps that it paid off. It does feel good to finally feel in charge of my eating, though. That was a life-long struggle for me up until I started hitting Diet Bet hard. I don't know what clicked, but I am so thankful that it did. And yeah, my friend and I are different people who just think differently about dating (and other things). Even though we don't see eye to eye, it's good that she can understand where I'm coming from and why I handle my love life differently than she handles hers. Re: collar bones... man, they are so captivating! I guess I haven't seen mine in so long, I think they're a mirage that will disappear if I stop staring at them. Haha. So weird! At least I'm not the only one who does that, though!
