So! Today is it: the day for my official weigh-in on my very first ever DietBet game! I'm super nervous about this whole thing, as every other attempt for me to lose weight the past 18 months hasn't gone very well, so I'm really hoping that this time is different.

 

I've joined with the Sisterhood of the Shrinking Jeans group of gals, and have chosen to do the C25K+abs+strength program that they've posted. I hate running with a passion, but I think that stems from my time in the military where they make you run, even if you don't like to or want to. With that knowlege at my fingertips, I decided to do the C25K program in order to get a handle on running and ease into it in a healthy manner. I figured that if I ease into it and work my way up to being able to run longer times and distances, that maybe I'll be able to find that I enjoy it and can stick to it as part of my workout regime. Or maybe I'll find that I hate it, but still want to conquer it. 

 

It's still quite daunting to think that this program is going to help gear me towards running a 5k. I have never run a 5k before in my life, and never would I have thought that it's something I would ever train for. It's weird for me to think that I'll be able to, if I can stick to the program (which seams easy enough to do).

 

The DietBet game is only 4 weeks, and the C25K program is 9 weeks, so let's see if I can lose the 4% during the Game, and another 4% during the second month.
