Things are done a little differently where I live. I have to pay for my internet every month just like everyone but just because I pay for it does not always mean i'm going to get it right away. I have to go to the man who sells me my internet time. He has to then call his "supplier" and ask for the credit. When I did that on Sunday the second man was out of credit so the first man could not sell me any. I have been without the internet for 3 days and hence have not been able to count calories. i did my best the first day but ended up gaining 2 ounces so I think i miscalculated. There was one food item that I really guessed on. I wouldn't be surprised if I guessed wrong. Yesterday I started the day with good intentions of guessing calories but did not do so well on it. I am still without internet today but I am using my neighbor's internet connection right now. I took the time to go on the calorie counting site I use (choosemyplate.gov) and entered in what I plan to eat so that I will be ok even when I give the internet modem back to my neighbor. (It's the size of a cell phone and easily transportable). Anyway, i also wrote today's menu somewhere else too so i wouldn't forget what I planned to eat. So, the first few days of this week have not gone well but today things are looking up.

I've used it before and it works well. I will use the internet based program the majority of the time but will have Fitday to fall back on when the internet is down or I have run out of time.
Yes, we do have great internet in the US...I have fiber optic in Butte, Montana...I have, however, lived overseas...even in Western Australia (Perth), the internet was sketchy...
I'm sorry for your internet woes

WOW!!! THAT'S DEEP!!! Rebecca, where do you live??? I never heard anything like that before!!!
Sorry to hear you have to go through something like that, but I'm glad you're handling it well. I guess because of where you live, you really don't have a choice. I'm happy to hear things are starting to get better!!! Hang in there!!! Good luck with your calorie counting til you're back in commission!!! :-)
