Last week I cut down on my evening drinks by replacing liquor on 3 out of 5 nights with bitters & soda. Bitters and soda tastes kind of like a very very weak scotch and soda, and putting it in a nice tall glass with a swizzle stick helped me not feel deprived. The other nights I had beer/wine, and I’m afraid that I did have more than one.
I was much better at eating, ending the week just 44 calories over my weekly budget.
Friday and Saturday were low-energy, low-step days for me, but I got back to being active with a three-plus mile walk on Sunday morning.
This week I will try replacing liquor at least 4 out of 5 nights, starting tonight. And I will go for 11,000 steps minimum per day. I think I’ll have to get new walking shoes fairly soon!
