Hello, everyone! I am not new to dieting, but I am new to this community! I have seen this website before now, and always wanted to try it, but was terrified I'd waste my money. But, life is short. And my life will be even shorter if I don't take charge of my health.
As I get ready for my first challenge to start in a few days, I have many thoguht clouding my mind. Mainly, however, is my concern for failure. I do not want to be one of the payout victims, because I did not succeed. What's even harder, is that I am starting this during the Holiday's.
I 'm going to just give you a brief look at the challenges I will face during this challenge, but hopefully overcome. First, I am a college student. I live in dorm rooms, and have a meal plan. I must use all of my mealplan money, or else I will lose that money for good. Similiar to this challenge. The problem wit this meal plan, is that the food my school offers is very limited in Low Carb/High Protein. The one main food i will be able to eat is salad, since there is a salad bar. I don't eat breakfast, and will use that time to do interment fasting on this journey. But when I have to eat meals, that's where the problem lies. I know what I can and can't eat, it's just hard when none of it is available to me.
I also have a hard time losing weight, becasue of other health related weaknesses. i struggle with PCOS, high cholesterol, and pre-diabetes. i know losing weight will indefinitely help all of this, but PCOS really makes losing weight a challenge. Hopefully, I will overcome this though.
Finally, the Holidays! Oh my, i'm nervous. I lucked out with Thanksgiving, because we ate at a family members house, meaning no leftovers. However, christmas and all days leading up will really be a struggle. But What's more important? Food, or my health?
I will weight in in a few hours, and know my starting point. Though I am very nervous, I know I will push myself to be better, and hopefully come out on top of this thing. At least in my head. :P
So to all starting challenge, on challenges, or debating: Good luck this holiday season! You will all do great! Let's be the best we can be!
