Today I got Cize* in the mail and decided to start it! I did the 30-minute "Crazy 8s" workout (with 1.5 min cooldown) and attempted to do the 8.5 minute "8 Count Abs" routine on the same disc. The Crazy 8s workout was reasonably easy but sweaty, so, good. I will say I didn't like that I felt lopsided (some of the moves aren't reversed within the workout), so I will have to perform the entire thing on the opposite side next time I pop in this disc. The ab routine was extremely hard and I didn't even mark the plank walks & plank jumps (my left wrist is very finicky and I keep re-injuring it when I do burpees and other things that put a lot of sudden pressure on that wrist).
Calories burned in the 30-minute workout according to My Fitness Pal, categorizing it as "aerobics, general": 217.
*Worth noting: I'm wholly, totally, absolutely not affiliated with the company that sells these workout products but I do have a lot of them (TurboFire, T25, etc.) in my workout DVD collection.
Food-wise I'm doing well for the day, but I often start out tracking well and then stop around dinner time. I'd like to track everything during these four weeks if possible - OK I'll say it, that's one of my goals. And working out 6 times a week.
A little history: going way back, my highest weight was 196 in 2003 (after which I went on WW for many years and got down to):
My lowest weight: 128.5 circa 2005 and then down to around 129 in 2013 when I worked very hard on it again counting calories & working out madly (I've mostly hovered between 132 and 142 in the intervening years, always watching calories & working out at least sometimes).
I'm 148.0 pounds as of yesterday's official weigh-in and my goal weight is 128 (I've never spent much time really near that goal weight, and I should probably let it go, but I've gotten so close). I don't know why this year my weight has climbed so high, maybe just...getting older? Or genetics firmly asserting itself? But it's time to focus. For this 4-week DietBet (1st time using DietBet!) I need to get down to 142.1 or below to be among the winners. I'm 5'4".
Best of luck to everyone! It's a lifelong process...I know that. It's way better with a support team.
