So CNY totally ruined my diet.
WHO CAN BLAME ME?! CNY is my favourite holiday, because I actually get to see my extended family and there are traditions and orders for houses to visit and lai-see and tons of gossip. In my happiness, I forgot about portion control. Especially when your grannies and aunties are all feeding you with their scrumptious radish cakes, their home-made spring rolls, and everyone's giving everyone their boxed souvenirs - 'hey, try this, I got this from Thailand'; 'hey, try THIS, I bought it from Japan' - I mean, isn't it disrespectful to decline? ;) They say kung hey fat choi for a reason.
Jokes aside, I know, I know. It doesn't help that CNY was just after my first DietBet too so I didn't even think about how much I was eating. I came here to also reflect on how my first DietBet was - I didn't think I did too good even though I reached my goal. I just didn't commit the whole time and I was just winging it, really - I mean, I barely made it. I did really well for the first week, then for week 2 and 3 I fell off the wagon. For week 4, I was like - oh no, I'm gonna weigh in soon and started really commiting and it was terrible. I guess it makes sense that I bounced back. In a weight sort of way.
So, I joined a new DietBet! I just had to. PCOS is something close to my heart, after all, because - well - I have it. They say (can't quote anything) that PCOS has strong links with overweightness and nobody knows which one causes which, so it'll be fun to see my community sort of battling this together! I'm going to go slow and steady for this one and keep focused, this time.
Anywho, I'm pumped up! I want my new DietBet to start ASAP :D
