What a week! I had serious doubts about making my Kickstarter goal, though I knew I'd be able to make my Transformer goal. I stuck to my training and food plan (even in the face of delicious lasagna), and I SMASHED MY GOALS. It felt amazing! I was even able to submit my final Kickstarter weigh-in in the evening, after supper, instead of first thing in the morning (because I forgot to put my weigh-in word in the AM pictures -- rookie mistake!).
So, naturally, I spent the next two days relaxing a bit. And I'm up a bit, scale-wise, but I'm feeling good, and I did my weigh-in for a new Kickstarter this morning, and I'm pumped to do this again!
For my DietBets I have stated goals that are, of course, the driving force of the game. But I'm going to add a personal goal for myself -- to see the 160's again before the end of March.
Exercise Goals: 30 min of interval training on a stationary bike 4-5x/week, 30 min of dumbell circuit training 3x per week. Hit 10,000 steps every day.
Last week:
Bike: M, T, W, Th (4/5)
Circuit: F (1/3)
10,000 steps: M, Th, F, Su, and very close on Tues (5.5/7)
What I struggled with last week:
I struggled to make time for my weightlifting circuit. In most other ways, last week was kind of magical -- the scale went down just right, and my resolve was back, but I didn't set aside time to lift. This was partly due to what I'm PROUD of this week (see below), so not the end of the world, but it's definitely something I need to prioritize. I LOVE how I feel when I've done it, and I love the progress that I'm already beginning to see.
What I'm proud of last week:
I upped my dumbell weights! When I started my dumbell circuit training a month ago I was using 5lb and 15lb dumbells. The 5lb-ers were the ones I used for most over-head exercises, and the 15lb-ers were used for double-arm things and leg work. I'd been finding those exercises getting easier and easier with the 5lb weights, so this week I picked up some 10lb weights and used them instead for most of the exercises. I think it was a really good move -- the increased weight was manageable, but brought me to fatigue in a way the 5lb weights just weren't anymore. I was a little sore for the next couple days, but I'm looking forward to doing another circuit tonight!
What I'm looking forward to this week:
Playing with my new weights, and starting a new Kickstarter. It's another FitBit-themed DietBet, which I found so helpful this past month, pushing me to use my own two feet to get places and focus on moving enough! I'm looking forward to meeting the challenges Jen will post!
