Hello out there!

CONFESSION: I DON'T OWN A FITBIT. However will I manage?!?

SO, I think this modest money incentive might really be the key to staying on track! Especially right now, when finances are pretty tight around here.

So, I'm starting this bet with the Eat to Live 6-week plan, which is shown to break bad habits and help change your tastebuds so that the salt/sugar/fat cravings are lessened, and a greater appreciation for produce is developed.

I've decided right off the bat that I'll just eat the same damn thing every meal for a week, and then think about switching things up for the next week. That consistency, that not having to figure out what I'm going to eat for every meal, will help keep me on track. Of course, I'm the family cook, so I'll be making some bulk, less stringent meals for the fellas, which might not make me Mom/Wife of the month, but at least I don't have to work twice as hard in the kitchen (fingers crossed).

Then, 7-minute workout in the morning with my son, a 30-minute Biggest Loser video during my lunch break from work, before eating, then something at night (maybe another 7-minute workout--the child really digs those). Breaking it up is the only way to make this work right now, and that'll be 45 mins of exercise a day that I can fit in, with a little planning.

My birthday is in 7 weeks; I hope to have lost around 15 lbs by then, which isn't an unreasonable goal considering I tend to de-bloat up to 5 lbs pretty quickly when I cut out wheat and dairy.

My incentives:

10 lbs lost: Sign up for a half marathon

15 lbs lost: Hair appointment

20 lbs lost: Some sort of jewelry or purse?

25 lbs lost: New running shoes!

30 lbs lost: Some sort of self-care activity/purchase

35 lbs lost: THOSE BOOTS!

40 lbs lost: THOSE JEANS!

Good luck out there, teamies!
