I'm doing pretty well so far. Except feeling a little ill, sore throat, freezing. Hope some ginger tea will help prevent a cold..
But as far as my weight loss concerns, I feel already much lighter after this first three days of eating healthy.
My motivation comes from the experience I already made. During the last year I've lost 20 kg, from size 14 to size 6 (Weight I put on during pregnancy, but also within the years before). I gained about 5 kg back in the last two or three months. I guess it started with my body yoyoing after one week of an intense stomach-flue and continued by being chronically stressed as a single mom attending university. So I know I can do it and I'm pretty shure to know how.
My focus lies not that much on physical exercise because I learned that I need my adrenalin and noradrenalin reserves for studying. But I'll try to integrate maybe 2 or 3 short HIIT workouts a week. What I love to do is running because it reliefs stress and makes me feel free. Also i'm doing Yoga once a week.
Adressing the food issue... I feel a lot of people focus on their calorie intake and I'm shure it works for them. I used myfitnesspal and counted calories sometimes but I just don't wanna get obessed and just think about food that I might eat or might not eat all the time. Instead I'm trying to eat as clean as possible with a focus on veggies, protein and healthy fats and avoid sugar (sooo important!), but also control portion sizes.
I started Intermittend fasting today which means I only eat in a time window of 8 hours a day (from 12 pm to 8pm) and fast the other 16 to get that fat burning hormones going. Till now I feel good with it, I never reallly liked having breakfast anyway. :) Maybe if someone's interested I could give some updates about this method.
