Morning weigh-in: 159.2
Goal weight: 155
I can't believe we're already on Week 2! The time flies when... well, yeah. haha. I'm feeling better today than I did the last couple of days, and yesterday ended up being great in terms of my decision-making. I took a 3.4 mile walk to the park and back, and got a total of 6.46 miles into the day according to my Fitbit. Ate 1,284 calories. I ended up making those broccoli tots, and they were pretty good! The husband didn't like them quite as much as I did... but putting sriracha ketchup on them made them taste a bit less like broccoli, which appeased him for the most part. I stuck with ranch because, well, ranch.
I'm down 0.6 pounds since yesterday, but still hovering around 159 for the last few days. Despite making my Dietbet goal weight, I'm feeling a little impatient to see it drop further toward 155.
Week 1 included mostly low-impact workouts (walks, mainly). This week I'm going to try and kick up the pace. I know that's going to bring on more muscle, which isn't going to help my little plateau... but in the end should push me down further. I'd rather be toned than lighter, if I had to choose. My eating was really great last week. I stuck around 1,200 calories most days, and my only real "cheat day" was around 1,400. I haven't had a drop of alcohol either, which I'm sure has helped immensely.
I will have a couple of more difficult days this week, though - I've got a networking event Thursday night and then on Saturday I'm shooting a wedding. So I'll get a lot more steps/calories burned, but my food choices will be more limited.
I am going to focus more intensely on my water intake, which has always been really problematic for me. I just don't like to drink water. I've never really had a taste for it, and it makes me pee like 3,000 times a day... but I know it's good for me. My goal today is 100 oz. I bought a lemon and some ginger root at the market yesterday, so I'm hoping infusing it will help. Drinking more herbal tea as well (I totally count this as water, as I generally don't add anything to it).
Tonight I'm making chicken stir fry for dinner, and the husband and I are doing P90X3 Core Synergistics as our workout. We also had our 30 min walk this morning, so things are looking good!
Hope you all had a successful Week 1! Here's to doing even better Week 2!
