Yep it is a climb for sure. An ongoing uphill battle. I'm always doing the same things too. I think it is possible to learn tips and tricks to help steer our minds in the right direction to get us on the right track after the comfort food binge detours. I have a long way to go to figure it out. I think you are doing great since all you can do is get back on the right track and that is what you are doing.

You and me both! I February I was doing awesome. I wasn't even in a bet I was just motivated and living so healthy! Then life happened. My mom needed to go to the ER which is a common occurrence when you have elderly parents living close like I do. I was hellbent not to let it stop me this time. I put healthy meal replacements in my bag and prepared to make a night of it. Long story short: I held strong for like the first week of her hospitalization but when she came home and I had lots of extra caregiving to do... I succumbed to the comfort foods and stopped healthy shopping and meal prep. My excuse: She needed to put on weight so I need to buy fattening food! Having that around was baaad because I was the only one eating it. (She had no appetite.) So anyway, I'm with you back on track and motivated. Sadly I am like 10 pounds up now but hey you live and learn and get back at it.

Ugh, how awful! I'm so sorry to hear about your mom. I hope she's doing better now -- and I hope YOU'RE doing better. I gained a lot back, too, so I feel your pain. Onwards and upwards is the only way out.
