I think the process of weight loss is like running a marathon.  Sometimes fatigue kicks in, and you want to give up.  Sometimes you feel strong and in the moment, like you could take over the world.  Sometimes you don't see an end in sight and you wonder why you're even in the race.  However, when you reach the finish line you feel accomplished and you celebrate all the pitfalls that may have befuddled you along the way.  You rejoice because you've endured and you're changed (in a good way) because you stayed the course.

I hang on to this thought as I reflect over this past week.  I let go of some weight and I gained some insights about myself.  I hope to carry these insights into the weekend, which is my weakest point diet-wise.

Step by step and inch by inch, the race will be won.
