Hello fellow Dietbetters!

I would like to introduce myself and share my progress!

I'm Shayla, a 25-year-old counseling grad student with an on-again off-again relationship with the gym. I'm a vegan (mostly, though I occasionally break down and eat non-meat animal products like doughnuts on particularly rough days), and have been a vegetarian since I was 14. Despite initial weight loss on a meat-free diet (I used to weigh 180 at 5'4 but slimmed down to 121 a few years ago), my weight has been steadily creeping back up on me! Emotional eating, late-night binges, genetic misfortunes, and vegan junk foods such as Oreo’s and dairy-free ice-cream have all made their generous contributions to my butt ;)

I started this challenge at 150.2 and am currently at 146 lbs.

 

Though I appreciate my body, I'm hoping to get it back into its best shape! I wish you all the best of luck (or should I say perseverance?) in your own endeavors!
