Well today we had another walk in the snowy woodlands. Actually its a great dog park in Anchorage. A wide trail winds around a now frozen lake. In the spring, summer and fall its full of birds, moose, occasional bear and the most dangerous of all BEAVERS!! (but thats another story). My knees aren't so great so I was a bit worried about using walking as my best way to excersise. Well that and the snow and ice. I don't have much free time but with walking I get exercise for Me and the pup.
To my suprise it is actually working out really great.. for us both!! She's lost a pound with all the extra walking. Since starting to diet I think I've lost over 6 pounds. Only been at it about 6 weeks. We get out almost every day now. Really hoping for a mild winter. Don't mind snow but walking in -30 is a bit chilly.
Tomorrow I'll post a photo of the one item that is really helping the weight come off while walking in the cold and only for a mile and half.
PS yes that is My dog Billy in the photo. With her coat on :)
