Your story is classic. Also you look so young :)You are in my boat weight-wise! I was 150s in high school and still chubby/overweight so I know I need to get down lower than that but I'm not sure how much! 130 ? 125 ? Still guessing :) I think I sound like a peddler, but for anyone who has metabolic resistance when your body fights weight loss, please take a glance at the ketogenic diet/lifestyle. It can be used with calories, some prefer that.Even if you don't adopt it yourself, there are some good ideas there. Higher fat in your food, lower carbs starting with cutting the unhealthy ones. Fat keeps you fuller.My supe is doing this and slowly and casually losing some weight without doing actual keto, just following the principles, switched a lot of carbs in her life to more protein & fat . Give it a look ? I'm having such a fantastic time using it that I know people who have trouble losing weight (like me) get a boost when fat is their primary food & their body switches to burning it for fuel instead of carbs.Also much clearer thinking, for me anyway. Thanks for the info and encouragement :) I have looked into keto a bit. My biggest reservation is about adopting an eating plan that is very strict. I have done plans with lots of rules, forbidden foods, etc in the past. But, my perfectionism tends to get the best of me. Then, when I "mess up" even a little, I get this defeated, "Ug, I ruined it!" attitude that has led to me quitting in the past.My thinking this time around was to do a more lax plan that just focused on eating healthier foods and counting calories so that all-or-nothing attitude didn't make me sabotage my self again.I know that eventually I will probably want to clean up my eating even more, and keto is something I may try. But, I think I am going to wait until I lose a good amount of weight this way and it starts to slow down.
