So, after debating with myself over whether to join the dietbet, I arrived at work Monday morning and amongst the hustle and bustle of a chaotic morning I hit the "join game" button and submitted my bet and set up my profile. I went through the day with purpose and intent about everything that I ate and drank. I drank so much water I thought I might float away. Green smoothie for breakfast, healthy snacks, delish salad for lunch, and then came dinner....always my downfall. Things quickly unraveled as I did not follow my "plan" for a lean piece of baked chicken with roasted sweet potatoes. I was feeling full after dinner, but craving the sugar...so I had a bowl of cheerios...knowing full well this was not a smart move-I felt soo engulfed by the sugar craving! Woke up this morning reminded by my dietbet email that, "you need to weigh in". I was dressed for work but, with 10 minutes to spare before leaving for work, stripped down, threw on my "airport attire" stepped on the scale and got my daughter to come take my photo as I weighed in. While I was at it, I knew I had to get in a run today (yesterday was a rest day after 10 miles on Sunday), so I set up a run date with my girl group for tonight directly after work. I have an hour and a half of free time tonight and can easy get some miles in before my daughter comes home. Food today....a success so far: green smoothie for breakfast with apple n PB and a piece of raisin toast. Had baked fish and orzo for lunch and a ton of water today. Heading out for my run in a bit and crossing my fingers that will squealch my sugar cravings for after the sun goes down....definately my weak spot in the day! Cheers!

Sign in to Commentthanks y'all! i have been meal prepping for 2-3 days at a time so i can just reach for it and its ready to go. Apples and PB are my go to snack right now to tide me over between meals and fake out my sugar cravings. Today is going better for me....hope y'all are feeling it today too!
I agree with Z. Pitts. Preparation is key... I usually give up when I'm too hungry and the thought of having to cook a whole meal is just too much work. As for the sugar cravings... try an apple or some dried fruits (trial mix). I usually find that it hits the craving (if not entirely, just enough to suffice).

I understand the cravings I have been there so many times. The one thing that has helped me stay focused on my meal plan is preparing my meals the night before, I also add an extra snack in my lunch box just in case I get the urge to "sin".
I hope this can help you
