I started the new job this past week.  Though getting rid of my old toxic job was exactly what I needed - starting a new job came with several setbacks.

For one, I had to adjust to the new time.  Where as I would usually hit up Soul Cycle 4/5 times a week, this week my first ride didn't happen til Friday.  I had another today.  I forced myself to get up for a very early class so that it would feel more natural tomorrow when I did it for the 3rd time.

Second major setback - very sedetary job.  Sure my last job was sedetary but my late start time allowed me to get in several thousand steps on my Up Jawbone before my work day even started.  By Friday, I was taking long long walks during lunch to try to make up the lack of exercise I was getting throughout the day.

Third setback - go go going.  Yeah it was a sedetary week and yet the second I would leave work I would rush to get to some evening appointment I had.  So the hopes to eat dinner at home went out the window.  Luckily I have a wonderful boyfriend who was willing to cook for me the nights I came over.  It's going to take more "on the go" meal planning this next week.

Fourth setback - too much sodium.  Seems like an easy fix but most of the weight fluxuation I've seen this week are not based on bad eating.  A lot of my meals were chicken, good seafood and salads.  It's entirely just too much sodium and it's going to take a lot of water drinking this week to get my body back on an even keel.  I can do it.

Now that I know what weaknesses this job presents it's time to plan and make adjustments.  I hate doing it but some mild planning can set me up for better success.  Make sure you do an assessment of your week too. Thanks for reading :)
