I just submitted my weight for my first dietbet. Assuming it is accepted, I start at 84.2 kg (185.2 pounds) and need to lose 3.4 kg, getting down to 80.8 kg before Christmas which would be awesome. Very excited! Nearly a kg a week is quite a big ask but do-able I hope. If this works out and I find it motivating, I'll do another one straight after Christmas. My ultimate goal is maybe 60 kg, although 58 kg is the top of the normal weight range for my height. That still seems a long way off, for now I'm aiming for that 80.8!
I decided to join dietbet a few days ago but had a family wedding on the weekend so waited until that was over. I was careful not to overeat at the wedding and while travelling but I thought maintaining my weight was about all I could ask for in that week, not a loss. I didn't want to "only" maintain in my first week of dietbet and make it harder for myself. From today I have no excuses.
