The May 14 Transformer ended and here's how everyone did:
The May 14 game started with 368 players and 88 players won this game by managing to reach and maintain 10% (or more) loss over 6 months. Way to go, people! 4 more people won Round 6 than Round 5 (go slow-but-steady-people!) and 83.02% of the people who qualified for Round 6 actually made it. This is pretty much exactly average in the games that have ended so far. 23.91% of the original Round 1 players made it all the way to the end and won, a notably lower than the average of 26.75%.
Winners received $182.18 for the final round, so that means that everyone who actually won made all of their money back and got a nice bonus, just on this round alone. I predicted that this could be a record high final round prize and it was really, really close. The May 6 game beat it by 42 cents. This prize is notably better than the running average of $171.34 for Round 6. Players who made all of the goals won $343.03 overall (as compared to the average of $324). Way to go winners! Congrats on your thinner bodies and your fatter wallets!
This was also the first hosted Transformer, hosted by The Sisterhood of the Shrinking Jeans. There were a few host prizes (randomly selected from people who won rounds, etc), but I didn't see a notable difference between this game and other Transformers. The host didn't post all that regularly, and there were certainly regular players who posted more encouragement. Regular Transformers start every other Tuesday and so this one started in an off week. The effect of this one was to draw off players from the game that started on May 20. For some reaons, the May 20 game had a lot of really, really successful people in the early rounds (and thus lower prizes). But the May 14 performance matched closely to the May 6 game, so who knows what's up with any of this! However this once again shows that it really doesn't matter how many people are playing in a Transformer (and thus how big the total pot is), it matters more what percentage of the players are losing the weight and winning the rounds.
(Note: I write posts about the stats for all the games that are running, not just the ones I'm playing in, but my posts only appear in the feeds for my games. If you are in other games, feel free to post my blog there so people can see how they are doing. I'm currently in the June 3, Aug 12, and Oct 7 games. If you add me as a friend, you will get a notification about all the stats posts I make.
