This game had 78 winners in Round 2, in a pot that 170 people contributed to. That's a 45.88% win rate (compared to an average of ~33% for normal Transformers). Winners got $40.87 each. Remember in this game that the stake per round is $25 (the other $25 going to the final pot). Clearly the very high win rate means that the return on stake is lower than in the normal Transformers, but this round, the winners are actually making some money. Let's compare. In a normal Transformer, the 2nd round average prize is $29 right now, or 232% of the $12.50 stake. In this game, this prize is only 163% of the $25 stake. Looked at yet another way, the average Transformer winner makes about $16.50 over their stake, but in this game winners only made $15.87 over their stake. So, they're winning, but they would still have made more in a regular Transformer. However, I will note that the Sept 9 Transformer only had a $26.40 2nd round prize ($13.9 over stake) so for this round the High Stakes is coming out a little ahead. Or maybe Oct is a really easy month to lose weight in. Next week we'll see how the Sept 23 game turns out (where High Stakes players might have gone instead)
People who have won each round have now made $66.06 (compared to a $50 stake so far). Because their first round prize was only $0.19 over stake, they're ahead 16.06. The average Transformer beats them at about $20.50 over stake. But the Sept 9 game is only 16.50 over stake.
The game lost 1.16% of players this round (only 2 people, note: 2 more people dropped after the pot was finalized this round but they won't be reflected until next month). So again, the people playing are really committed, and I suspect, self-selected based on past history of success.
