So, this is my first diet bet challange. It could not have come at a more appropriate time for me! Right before I started, I was so close to losing 40 lbs total! Just 4 measly pounds away. But, I unfortunately lost focus and the scale went the other direction! 6 big ol'pounds back up! 

But, it's okay. Ups and downs like this remind me that the progress bar of my weight loss isn't going to be a smooth line. It's going to be filled with ups, downs curlicues and about faces. I just have to accept that and roll with it. As long as I don't give up, I will get there. 

So, last week I concentrated on eating right and getting in as many workouts as possible! But, wouldn't you know life happened. My daugher got a nasty stomach bug and I only managed one workout! Yikes. (She's all nice and recovered now :) But, I stayed on track with my eating. And now i'm within 5 lbs again of my 40 lb weight loss goal!!! 

I don't think I would have been as on the ball if I hadn't signed up for Diet Bet. I might have just let it go. But I have money riding on this!!! And thank goodness I did, it kept me on track and I'm thrilled! Now I'm just in for some hard working out this week and being mindful during Turkey Day!
