After watching Extreme Weight Loss the other night and seeing Georgeanna lose over half her body weight, I realized that my battle with my body is not going to get better by itself. I started searching Chris Powell's website to see if I could sign up to be a candidate on his show! The link to audition info didnt work, so I kept searching and found the diet bet challenge. Although I would love to go stay with Chris and Heidi for 3 months to learn how to transform my body and my life, the odds of being one of the chosen ones are pretty slim. Even though I know I would be a great candidate and that Chris, Heidi and I would be great friends by the end of the year, I dont want to spend one more day wishing and hoping for something out side myself to come along and change my life!

I am pretty happy with every part of my life except my size. My family is wonderful. Ive been married for 24 years to an amazing man who loves me, all of me, even though Im about 100 pounds bigger than the day we got married. We celebrate 25 years next May, so my goal is to get back to the size I was on my wedding day! My 2 daughters are both amazing. 23 and 19, they will support me in whatever I choose to do. I own a business, a day spa, and have for 11 years. Ive been a massage therapist and esthetician for over 30 years. Ive spent the last 25 years taking care of everyone- children, clients, employees. Everyones' needs come first before mine. I know that is a pretty common scenario for women. My go to stress relief is usually eating. I like to exercise and am pretty strong (guess you have to be to carry around 100 extra pounds every day!)

Since my children are grown and my business is doing well, its finally time to quit procrastinating and take control of my weight issue. Facing that scale this morning was not pleasant. The thought of sharing that number with anyone is terrifying. I can totally relate to Georganna's fear of getting on the scale that first time in front of her husband and family. Im kinda glad for the privacy option with Dietbet! At least I faced it and have commited to losing 4% of my body weight in the next 28 days! I look forward to hearing about others successes, learning new ways to care for my body and becoming fit and healthy!
