One of the things I love about New Years is that it is a mark for new beginnings. What I as well as so many others forget to realize is that every second of every day is a mark for a new beginning. Keeping this in mind while on a journey of any sort of change enables us to keep going when we fail or falter. So many of us let our past define us. Let us not do that! There is no good reason to beat ourselves up when we don't measure up or we make a mistake. Walk in the freedom of new beginning in each and every moment.
On a spiritual level, we are given new beginnings in Christ. We are reborn and are made new when we come to Him. Only if we'd walk in that and not let the regret of our past, that was taken care of at the cross, define us.
In this moment, I walk in freedom. Please, someone remind me of this when I seem to have forgotten.
