The Dec 17 Transformer just completed Round 1. Remember that this game has a $35 stake instead of the usual $25. They had 203 winners in Round 1 for a pot that 373 people contributed to. That's a 61.66% win rate, considerably higher than the normal Round 1 average of 61.66%. Winners got $21.29 each, as compared to a stake of $17.50 (the other $17.50 to the final pot). Normal Round 1 prizes average 133% (=$4.15) of the stake, but this is a higher return at 121% of the stake (=$3.79). So, more people won than average and the return over stake was a lower %age, and also slightly less money. This is the first January round to really be a success, but I don't think it's the slightly elevated stake. I think starting a game right before x-mas, people ate most of their holiday excesses already and started the game with more easy front-end loss. We'll see if they can stick it out the way New Year's game people seem to.
(Note: I write posts about the stats for all the games that are running, not just the ones I'm playing in, but my posts only appear in the feeds for my games. If you are in other games, feel free to post my blog there so people can see how they are doing. I'm currently in the Aug 12, Oct 7, and Dec 2 games.
