I'm sitting here at the airport, about to depart to Michigan for 4 days. Its always more challenging to stick with a diet when I travel, but I'm determined to make it happen.
My first little challenge happened at lunch here in the airport...I ate a healthy looking meal at French Meadow restaurant. It had a house salad (some kind of light salad dressing on it), with a Grilled Chicken Breast sandwich. Surprisingly I couldn't find the nutritional info on MyFitnessPal (how rare is that?!) and I even asked the restaurant if they had nutritional info, and they looked at me like I was nuts. :)
So I'll try to figure it out later - the sandwich had chicken breast, spinach, swiss cheese, tomato, garlic on a ciabatta roll. I'm pretty sure there was mayo in there somewhere put it wasn't explicitly listed in the meal description - but I think I need to add some cals for that too. I should have taken a picture. I'll plug in all those ingredients and should be able to get close to the numbers I need I guess. In the end, I guess its about generally eating right - I chose pretty well I'd say (heck, it was even organic!) - much better than I would have chosen 2 months ago, where I'd probably end up with a burger and fries. :)
Anyways, wish me luck my friends! 4 more days to hang in there. I managed to cram my running shoes into my carry on bag, so I think I've set myself up pretty well for a healthy trip. I hope everyone else is doing well too. All the best!
