I am beyond exhausted by the neverending battle with my Type I Diabetes. It seems like the harder I push to lose weight and be healthy, the worse my blood sugar gets. I start exercising and eating healthy, and my blood sugar drops forcing me to consume carbs in order to, ya know, not die and all. Activity + low carb foods = low glucose levels. Which basically turns right around and makes me bottom out. So, I correct it with some food that has carbs and protein...plus all the calories that usually go along with those. Not to mention, I battle the high glucose levels that follow. Here comes the roller coaster, folks.

Sometimes I just wonder why.

Why does my doctor not get how hard this is?

Why do people without this disease think that it's my fault I have it?

Why is the constant battle so difficult?

I want to be healthy.

So why is this body that I am fighting so hard to maintain the very thing that is working against me?

I'm feeling defeated.
