Breathing a sigh of relief this morning NAILED IT! 8 down, 28 to go. Joining this game was an experiment for me - wasn't convinced it would keep me on track... But after one month i can see how this can work for a lot of people me being one of them. I really enjoyed the camaraderie of talking with other people and seeing people's progress and it's totally brought out the competitive side in me - I couldn't bear the thought of not making my goal a reality.
I did have a couple of discouraging moments during the month where the scale kept going up when it should've been going down but overall seeing 8 pounds off in a month makes me remember I can't be in this for the short-haul. I feel 1 million times better than I did at the beginning of January. Starting to get my old self back I even took the plunge and signed up for the Transformer to keep me moving forward!
For all of you who met your goals a huge congratulations and for those of you who didn't, don't lose the faith. Celebrate the wins you did have. Acknowledge the healthy changes you've made. Stay focused. I'm thankful for the consciousness this past month has brought me. I didn't stick rigidly to my goal of eating at 1500 cal a day or of working out five days a week but I did a hell of a lot better than I have been doing and that I'm giving myself a big hug for. Hope you'll give yourself one too!
