I wrote in an earlier post that negativity is a by product of being an over achiever, well I think it's also moreso a by product of having a mentality that supports always operating according to set expectations for what it means to do your best.

According to the four agreements doing your best changes from moment to moment. So what your best for a moment is right now, may not always be the same as your best for a moment either a week or month from now, or even later today! This applies even if you're trying your best for the same thing.

Think about professional athletes who are always striving to improve upon their best, some days they do it and others it seems impossible! But yet they are always 'doing their best'.

I think this is important to keep in mind as even though we know which formula will always keep us on track and at 'our best', there are going to be some days where that supposed best moment may just be at a little or a lot less than that formula, and that's ok. It's key to not get discouraged.

It's also possible to plan for these times. For example, to have alternate options available for when you just don't feel like eating an actual cooked meal, for days when your body is really just saying NO I can't do that AGAIN right now! Just because you're not optimizing the formula doesn't mean you still can't do your best in that moment and pick an alternate good choice that can not lead to negativity setting in.

We live among many options for similar outcome, let's optimize as much as possible!

Here's to exploring options that help you do your best :)
