Who has ever heard of a favorite diet plan?  Haha- that's like asking what your favorite vaccination is!  Well, ok, maybe it's not quite the same.

i always say that the best diet plan is the one you follow.  Making it work takes behavior change- new habits, like taking a new road or ordering your favorite thing in a new way (dressing on the side; no cone and make it a kiddie cup, etc)- when it comes to weight loss, it's about taking a new street.

That said, I do have an oldie and a goodie of my own: the first diet that I ever really did religiously worked miracles for my mind, body and spirit.  Back then, it was called the Curves Weight management plan, which eventually evolved into am online presence called Curves Complete today. The plan is solid, though a lot of the politics and realities of clubs closing and the corporation moving the technology along before customers and coaches are ready is shaky, to say the least.

However, the plan is solid, like I said- beginning with (1) attitude adjustment and probing questions for finding a motivation to change behavior, then incorporating methods for combining(2) appropriate nutritional and (3) exercise needs based on cutting edge weight loss research.  If the program hadn't taken me through that first step, I might not have stuck with it.  Having a coach, community and space for accountability also helped.

Curves is history in my little town, but their online presence lingers on.  I'm grateful to have found a new exciting and motivating community in Blogilates.com and through this DietBet that Cassey Ho got me going on.

At the end of the day, my favorite diet is the one that works- and they all work if I have the willingness to work them- some just work better than others for certain people.  What's important is knowing there is a solution and staying with that resolve until you see results.  Dieting doesn't need to suck- in fact, it could be "one of my favorite things," as Maria would sing!
