I never used to be a morning person. My joke has always been ever since having kids it's hard to get excited about waking up when you've been up all night! My first child was premature and my second had colic for 6 months so I think collectively I've lost a lot of sleep in my day! ( haven't we all though ;) ) but yes, I definitely have been a creature of late and leisurely wake ups.
I only went back to work full time in 2010, so it hasn't been that long, honestly though, I never thought I'd be getting up early to work out. I've been the kind of person to wake up early just so I can lie awake in bed for 30minutes before moving!
I'm coming to enjoy my morning time though. It's comforting being up before anyone else, I actually enjoy it. Driving to the gym in the dark with empty streets, it's quiet and peaceful. I'm not doing things amongst the hub bub of the family buzz in the early am. It's just ME. And I'm coming to appreciate this little side that is starting to branch out and try a new way of making something work! What I'm discovering are hidden benefits I hadn't anticipated, and that part is very pleasing.
Keep this in mind when contemplating pros and cons of embarking on a new way of accomplishing an old task, could you be surprised by stepping out?
