Every year it's the same. It happens just around Thanksgiving. I have been so good maintaning my weight during the spring and summer. Maybe it has something to do with being more active during the warmer months. Maybe it's the fresh vegetables from the garden. But then comes fall and the foods with more carbs like the stuffing, mashed potatoes, apple pie. Once I start gaining weight, I stop weighing myself. Then about February, my wife motivates me to get my tail in gear. It's not that she does not motivate me earlier. It's just that mentally, I go into hibernation. March comes and then April and I have lost most of the weight I gained over the Winter. I wish I could get out of this habit of yo yo weight gain. It's 99 % mental for sure. I think this Dietbet program is a good motivator. Having my wife doing it too makes it even more motivating. We are determined to lose that weight. Just three weeks to go! I hope all of us win this bet. And maybe this fall, I will keep it off.
