Okay, there is a lot of things better, but blogging while on the treadmill is pretty awesome. LOL
Anyways, just got back from a bike expo in Delaware. Kinda small, but still cool. Can't wait to have warmer weather to start riding again. I know my hubby is REALLY looking forward to that. Hopefully we can get him a new bike soon.
Tomorrow is first unofficial weigh-in. I am looking forward to it and at the same time dreading it. I had awesome workouts this week and ate well. I already feel healthier and full of energy, but like any one, if those numbers don't agree on the scale sometimes it is hard to swallow. Also we had some cheats this weekend. We are allowed a cheat day a week as long as we worked out all week and don't go crazy with it. AND it doesn't effect our goal. If so, then we will re-think. I used to do this with my clients and it helped them stay with it. Strict 6, cheat 7th.
So, Chinese food last night. We ordered less than we normally do. I ate more than half less that I used to. And frooze the rest in even smaller portions in the freezer for a cheat day at another time. That and sharing a can of diet soda was the only cheat yesterday, so we stretched it to today and had some terra chips with our sandwiches. Speaking of which I am proud of myself. We knew the expo would have junk food, so we brought our own. Sandwiches, one more can of diet soda to share, clementine, apple, pickles, and fruit strips. Along with our protein shakes in the morning for breakfast. :-) PAT PAT PAT (pat on the back) LOL
Look for those small changes, give yourself a pat on the back, for these small changes bundled together will lead to BIG results. ;-) The key is one step at a time. Keep with it. Patience.
My hubs did an awesome job working out this week. So proud of him. And today I will pay up my end of the deal that motivated him. ;-) We will also be weighing him in because starting this week he will be working towards weight loss. The other deal I made with him to help motivate him. ;-) Hope this works and doesn't bite me in the booty.
GUESS WHAT!!!!!??????? Devon called!!! My son. From MCT (Marine Combat Training) WOOHOO!!! it was SOOOOO incredibly awesome to hear his voice. I guess the feeling was mutual cause he said a couple times how this was the best phone call in his life. :-):-) :-) He sounded so good. He hates the cold and the hikes. Was sick from the cold vommiting constantly but he sounded so excited and said he is really enjoying his time there. Told me somethings they've been doing. So awesome. I am so proud of him. What a trooper. Only 14 more days left there, than off to MOS training. I almost hope his classes don't start right away....then there is a chance....slight....but chance that I may see him.
I miss him so much. Our gym is kinda dedicated to him, his dedication and others that serve/served. Patriotic colors with a man running, marine colors, hubby's mom's flag and badge, and of course my son's marine picture. ;-) We also put some saying's on the wall. "Sweat is fat Crying", "When you feel like quitting think about why you started", and "This is why you are hear" next to a mirror. Anyways, we need another motiivational phrase... What inspires you? Let me know. It may end up on our gym wall. ;-)
Well that's it. I hope you are feeling healthier, happier and more energetic as well. Remember to pay more attention to that, less on the scale. I know it is hard, but we can do it!
