I started the week off right by keeping my promise to up my heart rate during my workout to try to loose extra weight.  Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday all yielded results of at least 55 minutes with a heart rate at 84% max heart rate or higher in 2 hours of workouts at the gym.

Then comes today.

My first hour at the gym yielded my typical result of around 20 minutes, that's the interval I have been training at for the last few months.  Second hour of the gym I committed to pushing it, but just lost energy and couldn't get it in gear.  Resulting in 14 minutes, which is lowerer than my typical result.

Two hours down and I'm not to be detered!  I made a promise and we are only into day 4 of a 10 day promise.  So I took a small rest, got carbed up stretched out and onto the third hour at the gym.  But alas, after about 20 minutes into it, everything cut out and I couldn't maintain steam.  I could run for a while to get my heart rate up but then had to stop and it would plummet.  Yielding some of my worst results yet.

Sadly, this proved to be a case of the mind willing but the body was just not up to the task.

The good news is that I did manage to burn off around 2100 calories in that 7 hour gym break.

Fearing similar results without a day of rest, I'm going to keep off the high intensity cardio today, maybe do some upper body strength training, some stretching and walking and then trying again on Saturday for 60 minutes in a two hour gym session.

Good luck to all you other diet betters in keeping your promises.
