I'm technically going to be 'starting' this challenge on Sunday. The fact that it starts on a Wednesday is bothersome but whatever. I'm going to make it work. I had a couple delicious beers this evening (Troegs Cultivator Helles Bock, for those that are craft beer nerds like I am) but I'll be cutting back drastically come Sunday. Tomorrow I'm meeting with friends and they're smoking a brisket. I'm making my amazing German potato salad (no mayo, but lots of bacon) so we'll see how that goes. Sunday we're celebrating my husband's birthday with his family and I think we'll be going to our favorite Thai place. Not sure of calorie counts there, but I'll do what I can. This weekend is supposed to be GORGEOUS so I plan on running both days. I have a five-miler coming up in a few week that I'd like to do well in and not just 'finish', you know?
This afternoon I bought some new clothes to update my professional wardrobe. They're clothes that, when I lose more weight, will still look good. I made sure of that. This whole process is really exciting and after I win this initial DietBet (8.4lbs to win) then I think I'll find another to join. Who knows, maybe I'll make some friends and we will create one together. :)
