My intention (not resolution) this year - to love myself more and more every single day. This means doing good things for myself like quiet time away from the kids, getting my nails done, bubble baths in peace... BUT it also means treating my body right. Eating healthier foods, being mindful about food choices, and getting in exercise more. It's not about deprivation or a diet. It's a healthier way of looking at my approach to my own health.
Its okay to have chocolate - just not the entire sleeve of thin mint cookies :)
It's okay to have a burger - just load up on the veggies instead of fries :)
It's okay to have a glass of wine - just not the whole bottle in one sitting:)
This year is my year to love myself in my own skin, whatever that looks like today. It will be different tomorrow and again I will need to love myself 110% to be on that path to a healthier me. Small steps, big progress.
