so far, so good. i have to say that I am really enjoying the community on Dietbet! It is so great to see everyones comments, and be able to chat about the struggles.
Came down with a UTI on Monday. Hoping the antibiotic will not effect my results. So far I am feeling really strong. I am not really feeling like I am missing anything too much, which is a surprise. i thought I would really miss drinking wine and eating chocolate in the evening. But Im not really. I think eating healthy and adiquately thru the day really helps keep those cravings in check.
I also never thought I would be able to get up early to exercise. But hubby and I have been getting up and doing that together, so we both are getting in shape! It's a great thing! And I am so relieved to get it out of the way first thing so I don't have to think about it thru the day, like another task hanging over my head!
Here is a sample of my diet:
Emergen-C before workout
Breakfast: 1 steamed egg with 1/2 avocado, drissle olive oil, sea salt, hot sauce
Tea or coffee with milk
Mid morning meal: smoothie - frozen berry mix, spinach/ kale, water, fibre mix, recovery suppliment, zevia, blended
pumkin seeds to nibble, one peice of cheese
Lunch: broccoli soup (homemade)
Snack: apple slices w peanut butter
Dinner: roasted chicken, sweet potatoe (yam), salad
water, water, water!
This seems to work for me.
Yesterday I was at the mall with the kids and needed a snack so I bought them some frozen yogurt and I had a smoothie. I could tell there was too much sugar in it. needless to say I did not drop weight yesterday. I didn't work out yesterday either because my UTI was bothering me too much.
Back at it today. Did ZWOW #3 from beginner series.
I should mention, to anyone reading this, that I actually started weening myself onto this program a week before this challange started. so I got over the detox blues last week.
