Everyone has got to love a stir fry. It is fast. It is delicious. And it can also be very filling while you are trying to lose weight or maybe just change your diet to include more veggies.

I can have some kind of stir fry almost every week because I believe it to be quite flexible kind of dish. It can be sweet and sour as well as just savoury. It can be spicy but it does not need to be. You can put in cream and fuit or just be satisfied with veggies and tomato sauce. You can eat it with some rice, bulgur.... or maybe few french fries?

There are some tips for making a lean-er stir fry:

1. If you want it sweet use fruit to sweeten it instead of sugar - like some pineapple.

2. Stir fry can be made out of any kind of meat or none! If you want to lose weight go for the leaner meats though like chicken or maybe a soy substitude (like I did in the picture).

3. Stay away from the creamy stir fries!

4. Thicken the sauce with starch, tomato puree or fresh tomatoes. Never go for ketchup because it has too much sugar in it. (Unless it is homemade.)

5. Pack it in with your favourite veggies. You can use  as many veggies as you want. It increases your meal without high calorie cost.

6. Make it spicy with some ginger, garlic and fresh chilly!

I will not put an exact recipe here because I believe stir fry changes with every mans and womans personal tastes more than any other food. To control the calories make sure to weigh everything down and control your portion sizes (but you can always use a ton of veggies!).

Bon appetit!
