Just finished as winner of another kickstarter and gotta say, I'm pretty pleased with the results. It was touch and go for awhile because, although I was adhering to my low calorie, lots-of-sweat regimine, the scale was barely moving for the first two weeks. The first TWO WEEKS of a four week bet. Geesh! Only in the last week did it give me some relief, and I was well within my goal today at weigh-in. That was a tough one!
I now weigh 135 pounds. (I'm 5'3".)
That's a really big deal because I have not been at this weight since... a very long time ago. We're talking decades here. I'm in my pre-babies weight range again, which is crazy.
I was a chubby teen, so I don't have that to measure success by. I like bmi charts. I didn't like them a year ago, but I like them very much now that my weight is down. Funny how tastes change.
For anyone who is starting or struggling in their weight loss journey, just know, it's worth it.
I'm stronger, I have energy, and my posture is better because I'm not slouching to avoid being noticed.
I have ribs. I can feel them. They're right there! They aren't poking out, but I can finally detect that there is definately a frame under my flesh, which is kind of cool.
It's great.
I miss food, though. I miss the part about eating with abandon and not being aware of the consequences. Like buttered popcorn and late night tv infomercials.
Mindless eating is comforting, but so is shopping for clothes. And so is the two piece swimsuit I can now wear to the beach.
So there's that. :D
Totally worth it.
