I'm super excited about winning my last dietbet. Before starting this dietbet I had just lost two dietbets. I was determined to win this one. Here are the steps I took to ensure I did not lose another dietbet.
Start Immediately! I started immediately…not the week before the Dietbet ends. I started the first day of the bet and will kept at it everyday. In the past I would say…I have 4 weeks…that’s plenty of time. Before I knew it…I had two weeks…then two days …start Immediately!!
Track my food, EVERYday! Good or bad I tracked it. I also stayed within my daily points (weight watchers), most days. Tracking is one thing…doing the right thing is another.
Treat every Friday like the Friday before weigh-in. I did not allow the weekends to set me back. During previous bets, the weekend before weigh-in I tended to tighten up…but typically at that point it was too late. I did not allow the weekend to be an excuse to fall off
I didn't Stress Over it! I didn't stress over it or focus on it…Losing weight is difficult enough. Instead of focusing on the Dietbet…I just focused on eating healthy, staying active and reaching my overall goal…not just the 4% goal...I ended up losing 4.8% and honestly forgot I was doing a dietbet. My thoughts were...winning would be a bonus but making this a lifestyle change is the ultimate prize. And if at the end of the bet…I did all I could to reach my goals and still fell short…then maybe this game is not for me. But I would give it my all!!
I told people - My thought process...the more people I told…the more people would know I was doing it…the more people I had to hold me accountable. So, I told friends and everyone on on social media. I find when I do something and I don’t share with others…it’s easier for me to fall off.
